REEFER™ Concept
Red Sea’s REEFER™ series of Reef Systems provide advanced hobbyists with a solid foundation for building a fully featured reef or marine aquarium.
The REEFER™ series combines a contemporary, rimless, ultra-clear glass aquarium with a stylish cabinet and a comprehensive water management system including a professional refugium ready sump with integrated automatic top-up and Red Sea’s unique silent down-flow system.
The REEFER™ series is designed for ease of operation while enabling the advanced hobbyist to install an unlimited choice of lighting, filtration, circulation and controllers to create a uniquely customized system.
The REEFER™ models are 50cm (20?) wide and and are available in 60cm (24?) long/170 liter (34
gal) capacity, 90cm (36?) long/250 liter (65 gal) capacity or 120cm (47?) long/350 liter (91 gal). These tanks sit on HPL coated MDF Marine Spec cabinets.
The wider format REEFER™ XL, XXL & 3XL now includes 7 models that give you the freedom to create more expansive, intricate and diverse reefscapes without the constraints of the smaller tanks. These tanks sit on extra durable HPL coated plywood Marine Spec cabinets for greater water resistance, with fully adjustable feet for perfect levelling on any surface.
The REEFER XL models are all 57.5cm (22.6?) wide and are now available in sizes from 60cm (24?) long/200 liter (53 gal) capacity up to 150cm (59?) long/525 liter (140 gal). All the REEFER XL models now feature a laminated, plywood cabinet with adjustable feet.
The REEFER™ XXL models are 65cm (25.6?) wide and 60cm (23.6?) high and are available in 150cm (59?) long/625 liter (166 gal) capacity or 180cm (71?) long/750 liter (200 gal). The XXL750 V3 now includes a dual pump return to allow for better-distributed flow in the aquarium.
The REEFER™ 3XL 900 is 65cm (25.6?) wide, 65cm (25.6?) high and 200cm (79?) long with a 900 liter (240 gal) capacity. This unit introduces an enlarged overflow box with dual side-facing pump outlets/return that provides ideal water circulation in the tanks with flows of up to 10,000 lph/2600gph. A unique feature of the 3XL 900 is a split sump system that provides unsurpassed flexibility. The main sump is set for the main filtration functions with an optional refugium chamber and a dedicated adjustable height skimmer chamber. The sump extension (60 liters/(16 gal) can be connected to the main sump and used for additional filtration, as a larger refugium, or even as a dedicated frag tank. Alternatively, it can be set up as an independent unit and used as a full-size (83 liters/ 22 gal.) RO reservoir or saltwater reservoir for automated water changes.
The new REEFER™ series have advanced sumps with the following exciting new features:
An adjustable height skimmer chamber, enabling you to set the water level for optimal skimmer performance.
A “Refugium Ready” sump with two pre-set positions allows you to decide how much of the sump you want for your skimmer and other reactors and how much as a dedicated refugium chamber.
Micron filter bags and filter media cups
RO liter reservoir that can be slid aside when necessary for pump maintenance.
